Eddie Nketiah believes that Marquinhos is a really talented player as he expressed his excitement about playing alongside the Arsenal youngster more – in comments reported by the club’s official website.
The Europa League looks set to be Marquinhos’ main stage in the early stages of this season. He certainly took full advantage of the opportunity in their opening group-stage clash against Zurich last month.

The 19-year-old scored one and set up another as the Gunners won 2-1 in Switzerland. And there were glimpses of the kind of partnerships he could form with some of those around him in the years to come.
Marquinhos is a really talented player
Arsenal face Bodo/Glimt in their second group game at the Emirates tonight. Victory for Arteta’s men will see them put one foot in the knockout stages. And ahead of the game, Nketiah outlined how impressed he had been with Marquinhos.

“We’ve gotten to learn about each other,” Nketiah said, as reported by the club’s official website. “He’s obviously a new player, and a really talented player and a good guy off the pitch as well. We’ve got quite a good relationship off the pitch and naturally that goes onto the pitch.
“It was nice for him to get a goal and an assist and the other way round for me, so I think we can continue to build that connection and help the team.”
Marquinhos is benefitting from Arsenal’s electric start in the Premier League. Their form is allowing Mikel Arteta to take his time with the summer signing, allowing him to adapt to his new club.
That strategy frustrated supporters when it came to the likes of William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli. However, Arteta was ultimately vindicated.
Martinelli needed time after sustaining a serious injury. But given the start he made, some fans wanted to see him used more a lot sooner. And, from the outside, it did seem baffling that Arteta was not, considering that the side were struggling.
Meanwhile, Saliba was a class act in Ligue 1 for some time before his Arsenal debut.
The pair are now thriving in the top-flight. And that should leave Arsenal supporters with plenty of optimism that Marquinhos’ minutes are being managed for a very good reason.
