Arsenal’s Invincibles may well be the best team in Premier League history.
The Gunners’ team from the 2003/04 season went an entire league campaign without losing a single game, and they had world-class talent in almost every single position.
Mikel Arteta’s current side are some way off the Invincibles, but it has to be said that they also have some world-class players at their disposal.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, one of the Invincibles, Kolo Toure, has been discussing if any of the current Arsenal side would get into that 2004 team, and he came to the conclusion that Bukayo Saka would probably get into Arsene Wenger’s team over Freddie Ljungberg.

Saka would get into the Invincibles team
Toure spoke about the young Arsenal star.
“Saka, I would say is really good. He has power and speed,” Toure said.
“Who are you taking out?” Martin Keown asked.
“I don’t know! Freddie scored a lot of goals! But Saka would make it because of his speed and power. He’s a really, really good player,” Toure answered.
Tough choice
As much as we love Saka as a player, this is a very tough call to make.
Ljungberg is often a forgotten star of that Arsenal team. He was a truly fantastic player for a little while for the Gunners, and he scored some vital goals.
Of course, Saka has bags of talent himself, but Ljungberg turned up in those big moments and secure major honours for Arsenal – something Saka hasn’t been able to do yet.
It’s hard to say which of this current crop of Arsenal stars would get into the Invincibles side because they’re all so young and at the beginning of their journeys, but, in a few years’ time, perhaps this debate will be a bit more open.
