Less than two minutes into his Southampton debut, Che Adams showed his new club what he could do. Adams opened the scoring for Southampton in a pre-season friendly against SCR Altach just 116 seconds into the match.
Southampton drew 1-1 with Altach as pre-season preparations continued. The top-flight Austrian side played Southampton on the back of a 3-2 loss against West Ham and this was not an easy test for the Saints.
But Adams immediately impressed his new supporters with a trademark finish. Birmingham City fans have seen it time after time; Adams swivelled in the box and unleashed a powerful low shot into the bottom corner.

Southampton won the multi-club race for Adams earlier this season and he could prove to be a bargain. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men only coughed up £15m for the 23-year-old, according to BBC Sport.
If he can replicate last season’s form, where he scored 22 goals in 48 games for the Blues, Adams could be a hit on the south coast. The ex-Sheffield United forward is already getting fans excited about what the future holds.
Here are some tweets from Southampton fans after Adams netted on his Saints debut.
