Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on Brazilian defender Eder Militao as he continues to struggle for regular game time at Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane – and Real supporters have responded to the reports on Twitter.
Militao, 22, joined Real in the summer of 2019 for a fee of £45million (Mundo Deportivo) after previously impressing at Sao Paulo. While his defensive work was praised, his five goals and four assists in 47 Porto games saw him jump out to Madrid.
Zidane’s men signed the six-time Brazil international but he only managed to play 20 times last season. This time around, his lack of game time is even more desperate – playing just three times and remaining an unused sub in the last nine league games.

Mundo Deportivo claim Spurs are ready to offer Militao an escape route. Having missed out on Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar in the summer, Spurs signed Wales international Joe Rodon but it appears Jose Mourinho still wants a defender.
Militao has emerged as an option despite signing a contract at Real that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2025. Sergio Ramos’ future at the club is likely to play a part in Militao’s decision.
Real Madrid supporters, though, reacted to the news that Spurs are interested in landing Militao and many feel a move to North London to play under ex-Madrid gaffer Mourinho would be a good move for the centre-back.
