Real Madrid supporters react as Arsenal reportedly eye left-footed star

Arsenal are reportedly rivalling Chelsea in the race to sign Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon as he continues to shine on loan at Europa League semi-finalists – and Real Madrid supporters have reacted on Twitter.

Reguilon, 23, has been in stunning form for Sevilla after joining the club on loan from Real Madrid last summer. Clocking up 36 appearances for Sevilla on loan, he has helped them reach the last four of the Europa League.

Spanish newspaper AS reckon Sevilla and Julian Lopetegui want to keep Reguilon but Real want a fee of £22.5million for a player that has played 22 times for Zinedine Zidane’s first team.

Sevilla are believed to be unlikely to spend such a figure, which means Arsenal and Chelsea have a much better chance of landing Reguilon. As per the report, Chelsea are leading the race to sign the left-back.

That is because Frank Lampard’s side secured Champions League football next season, while Arsenal’s FA Cup win only ensured Europa League football. Real Madrid also want a buy-back clause included.

But Real Madrid supporters reacted to the reported news that either Arsenal, Chelsea or Sevilla could look to sign Reguilon – who has since changed his agent to that of Kia Joorabchian, who is orchestrating a move for Willian.
