Jesse Lingard is flying on loan at West Ham and he’s now emerged as a shock target for Real Madrid and their supporters have been reacting to the news on Twitter.

ESPN claim some of Europe’s top clubs are monitoring Lingard, with Inter Milan and PSG also carefully watching the man bang in form at the London Stadium.

The 28-year-old has scored eight goals in nine appearances for the Hammers, registering four assists as West Ham eye a top-four finish in the Premier League.

He’s quickly adapted to life in the capital after a frustrating 18 months at Old Trafford where he was a peripheral figure after falling way out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Following the links to the Bernabeu, Madrid supporters have been reacting on Twitter to the suggestions of Lingard arriving at the club.

It’s fair to say the responses aren’t overly positive, with plenty of supporters feeling a club the size of Real Madrid should be targeting a better quality of player.

Here is what they had to say regarding the £75,000-a-week player being linked with a move to Spain.
