Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid attacker Lucas Vazquez as Jose Mourinho looks to form a cut-price reunion at Spurs – and Madrid supporters have reacted on Twitter.
Vazquez, 28, played for Real Madrid’s Castilla reserve side during Mourinho’s time in charge between 2010 and 2013. The nine-time Spain international has since clocked up 201 senior appearances for Real.
However, this season, he has dropped down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane. Indeed, the Real boss has limited three-time Champions League winner Vazquez to just eight starts throughout the entire 2019-20 term.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo have claimed that Spurs are looking to strike a cut-price deal for the Real youth product, with Daniel Levy willing to table an offer worth £15.5million.
However, there needs to be some negotiation because Real want as much as £23million. A compromise is required, but Spurs are seemingly keen to land the Spaniard to rival the likes of Lucas Moura, Son Heung-Min and others.
Real Madrid supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Vazquez is a target for Tottenham ahead of the summer window – and many are keen for Zidane’s side to accept an offer.
Even better if we could get rid of James or Bale, but this is a good start.

Lord Vazquez is worth more than the whole of Tottenham.
Only way he's moving is if they rename their stadium after him. https://t.co/lbe9eiaYqO
