Newcastle United worked incredibly hard to sign Sven Botman this year.
The Magpies tried to land the Dutchman in January, but failed to do so.
Newcastle persevered again in the summer and beat AC Milan to his signature.

Botman has been worth the money, the wait and the hype, as he’s been superb for Eddie Howe’s side.
And Sport.fr was eager to sing the 22-year-old’s praises after Newcastle’s win over Everton on Wednesday.
Admittedly, Botman wasn’t quite as his very best against the Toffees, misplacing a few passes.
Nonetheless, that was more a case of him setting the bar so high, and he still did well overall.
Sport Witness covered and translated Sport.fr’s story regarding the former Lille colossus.
They say the decision to sell Botman to Newcastle in a £35m deal in July was a ‘real gift’ to the Magpies.
He has already ‘become a star’ at St James’ Park and has made himself ‘indispensable’.
Botman’s decision to move to Newcastle instead of Milan was initially disputed by some.
But now, the defender is now ‘putting everyone in agreement’.

Newcastle are now sixth in the Premier League after 11 games and ‘they owe a lot’ to Botman, added Sport.fr.
You can’t argue with much of what they said, and it’s great to see people who weren’t sure about his Magpies move now changing their minds.
