Real Betis and Tottenham Hotspur transfer swap makes sense for all parties

Cardiff City loanee Victor Camarasa has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur. As reported by Marca last month, Tottenham are interested in the Real Betis star. Those rumours have continued to persist, after Camarasa’s good form for the Bluebirds this term.

However, Estadio Deportivo recently suggested he could cost as much as €20 million (£17 million) after his good form in Wales.

That fee still seems a little steep for the player, especially for Tottenham Hotspur.

But is there a scenario where Tottenham could pay absolutely nothing for him. Because Betis want a player who is currently at Tottenham.

Estadio Deportivo reported earlier this week that Betis have returned to the negotiation table with Tottenham for the potential signature of Vincent Janssen.

A January deal fell through at the last minute. The Sun reported a last-minute loan fee demand from Daniel Levy scuppered a deal.

Despite his recent involvement, Tottenham clearly have no plans for the Dutchman long-term. Considering Janssen cost Spurs, according to Sky Sports, £18.6 million, there is definitely scope for a straight swap deal.

Betis want Janssen, Tottenham don’t. Tottenham want Camarasa, Betis don’t. This one should be a no-brainer.
