Journalist Ben Jacobs has now been providing an update on Ibrahim Osman’s potential move to West Ham United today.

Osman and Jota currently seem to be the two candidates David Moyes is lining up to replace outbound players today.

Alongside Pablo Fornals, it seems Said Benrahma could be leaving – with Sky Sports providing a recent update on that deal.

West Ham have been in negotiations with FC Nordsjaelland to conclude a deal for 19-year-old Osman, but a gap in valuations is proving a problem.

But with two, or maybe even three West Ham wingers leaving today, the club would surely have to add to their squad.

And although Ben Jacobs thought a deal for Osman was unlikely today, he did suggest the youngster would be keen to join West Ham.

Ben Jacobs says Ibrahim Osman wants to leave today amid West Ham interest

Jacobs shared his update on X, stating that several sides would provide competition for West Ham in the summer if a deal wasn’t possible today.

He said: “Ibrahim Osman looks set to stay at Nordsjælland. Danish club have rejected two offers close to €20m from West Ham and Brighton to date.

“Player is understood to be ready to travel today if any surprises but also happy (and planning) to stay at Nordsjælland then move in the summer.

“West Ham and Brighton could rekindle their interest, whilst Spurs, Wolfsburg, Gladbach, Bologna and Monaco are all interested next window.”

Of course, with a deal also looking difficult for Jota today, it’s not impossible that West Ham turn to another target.

As stated, it would seem ill-advised for both Fornals and Benrahma to leave without a replacement, but we shall wait and see.
