'Reached an agreement': Romano has just shared some late-night transfer news for Spurs fans
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the future of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Taking to Twitter on Friday night, he claimed that Spurs and Napoli had reached an agreement over a deal.
Tottenham are reportedly prepared to close the deal with the Serie A side over a loan with buy option.
Romano also claimed that Napoli’s director met with Ndombele’s representatives in Paris to discuss personal terms.
Tottenham have been trying to find a transfer solution for Ndombele for a while now.
The Spurs record signing remains surplus to Antonio Conte’s requirements after returning from his Lyon loan.
Ndombele, along with Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks, have reportedly been training individually.
The France international is on a reported £200,000-a-week contract until the summer of 2025.
This means he’s arguably one of the highest priorities for Tottenham in terms of offloading him before the deadline.
Romano’s latest report suggests Spurs are very much on the right track.
Meanwhile, Napoli will apparently be losing Fabian Ruiz to Paris Saint-Germain soon.
Therefore, they need a high-quality replacement.
And while Ndombele has split opinion at Tottenham, there’s no denying he’s incredibly talented.
