Ray Parlour believes that ex-Arsenal teammate Patrick Vieira should become the next manager at the Emirates Stadium.
Unai Emery is still the Gunners boss at present, but is surely under massive pressure following his side’s 2-1 home defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night.
The North London club have now gone seven games across all competitions without a win and appear to be in turmoil.
With Tottenham recently parting ways with Mauricio Pochettino, it seems like there is a lot of pressure from Arsenal supporters to follow suit and throw Emery out the doors.
Parlour has suggested that Arsenal legend Vieira may be the ideal man to come into the club to replace Emery.
The 43-year-old is currently in charge of French top-flight side Lille and also previously worked in charge of New York City in the MLS.
His team finished seventh in France’s Ligue 1 last season and they currently sit 15th in the table.
“I’d take a chance [on Vieira]. Every manager is a gamble. How did Pep Guardiola start his career? How did Jurgen Klopp get that lucky break? You need a lucky break sometimes,” Parlour told talkSPORT.
“I know for a fact it would be like Frank Lampard, players respect Patrick and the fans will give him a chance.”

TBR’s View:
It looks like Emery’s time at Arsenal is drawing to a close and it would take something special for him to pull it back from this position.
Vieira would be an intriguing option for them and he’s reportedly one already considered by the club’s heirachy.
The Independent reports that Vieira is someone that has been eyed by the club, as well as Mikel Arteta, Max Allegri and Julian Nagelsmann.
Vieira is a fairly inexperienced coach still, but that route seems to be working for Chelsea in terms of bringing back a club legend.
