Former Arsenal and England midfielder, Ray Parlour, has sung the praises of Bukayo Saka, believing nobody quite knows what his best position is yet.

Saka has exploded into life this season to become one of the club’s top players. Whether that be on the left, right, or even as a wing-back or left-back, Saka has impressed onlookers all year.

And Parlour, who was speaking to Talksport today, was full of praise for Saka, insisting there’s probably only centre-half he can’t play.

“From Saka’s point of view, where’s his best position. Sometimes he starts on the right side behind the striker then next minute there’s a couple of substitutions and he’s at left-back!,” Parlour said.

“His all round game means he can play anywhere. The only position I’m guessing he can’t play or I haven’t seen him play, is centre-half.”

Saka’s performances have led many to believe the Arsenal man is a certainty for Gareth Southgate’s England squad in the upcoming Euros.

The England manager is well known for picking players on form and Saka’s versatility, in addition to his fine performances, mean he has positioned himself well to be given the nod by Southgate.

There’s no doubt that Bukayo Saka is effective in a number of positions. His performances in different games throughout the season have demonstrated that.

He is probably that bit better in attacking areas. He showed against Benfica last week how devastating he can be when required.

Arsenal have got a real gem on their hands in Saka and Parlour, like many of us, is simply impressed by what he’s seen from the Gunners youngster.
