Kieran Tierney was mic’d up for the North London derby against Tottenham and Arsenal have posted a video on their Instagram page of the Scottish defender barking out instructions to his teammates – to which Ray Parlour has responded.

Tierney, 23, has arguably been Arsenal’s best player this season along with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel – clocking up 30 appearances in all competitions. Even through a tricky period of form, Tierney was consistently good for the Gunners.

The Scotland ace has was excellent on Sunday, proving a nightmare for both Gareth Bale and Matt Doherty on Tottenham’s right flank. The ex-Celtic man skinned Doherty before setting up Martin Odegaard for Arsenal’s first goal – their equaliser.

Arsenal posted a video that lasts longer than four minutes of Tierney being mic’d up for the win over Spurs. It includes him giving numerous instructions to Emile Smith-Rowe, complaining at the attacking players and confronting Davinson Sanchez.

It was a huge win but the turnaround must be swift, as they play Greek side Olympiacos this week in a bid to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League. The Gunners can even afford to lose and still qualify, having won 3-1 in the first leg.

Tierney has been praied for his application and commitment in training this season, most notably by Freddie Ljungberg who took charge of Arsenal as interim boss before Arteta came in. Parloud gave his four-word verdict on £81k-a-week (Spotrac) Tierney.
