Liverpool fans have been discussing the potential signing of Renato Sanches, after respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed the midfielder could be a summer target.

Sanches has already been linked with a move to Anfield in December but those reports went quiet, with the Portuguese midfielder still injured over in Lille.

However, speaking on his Here We Go Podcast yesterday, Romano insisted that Sanches is one to watch for Reds fans, with the future of Gini Wijnaldum looking increasingly uncertain.

Sanches had a miserable spell with Swansea in the Premier League as a youngster but has since kicked on a bit and was impressing prior to being injured with Lille.
