Rasmus Hojlund says £19m Man Utd player has been so good this year

It’s hard to pick the positives out of Manchester United’s season.

The Red Devils have recorded a record-low finish in the Premier League, ending up on a negative goal difference, and while the FA Cup final could provide some consolation, Erik ten Hag’s side head to Wembley as serious underdogs.

However, it’s not all been doom and gloom, some players have been solid this term with the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho shining.

Speaking to The FA Cup’s TikTok page, Rasmus Hojlund has reserved some praise for another player, stating that Diogo Dalot has been solid all season long.

Rasmus Hojlund praises Diogo Dalot

The striker spoke about the £19m defender while ranking goals from this season’s FA Cup campaign.

“I’m going to put this (Dalot’s goal against Wigan) at number three. A very good goal. A funny story is that Diogo was actually very sick that day. He was feeling so bad, but he played a very good game, he has been solid all season, a good goal,” Hojlund said.

Diogo Dalot’s best season

There’s plenty to be said about this current United squad and the level they’re playing at right now, but Dalot does deserve praise for his performances.

Indeed, the Portuguese defender has been playing to a high level all season long, and it’s not an exaggeration to say that this has been his best season yet at Old Trafford.

Whether he’s played down the left or down the right, Dalot has been very consistent for United this season, and in a campaign where most of his teammates haven’t been at the required standard, he has stood out.

Dalot is one of few United players who can hold his head high at the end of this season, that’s for sure.
