Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Cristhian Stuani this summer.
Futbol Formula Radio reported on Wednesday that the Hoops are impressed by the Uruguay international, who plundered 19 goals in 32 appearances in 2018/19.

Some may remember Stuani as the player who underwhelmed at Middlesbrough a few years ago, but in the last couple of seasons the player has scored more than anyone in La Liga bar Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez with 40 goals.

If Celtic sign Stuani, it could be bad news for Vakoun Issouf Bayo.
TBR’s view
Bayo has hardly featured for the Celtic first-team since joining the club in January from Dunajská Streda.
Neil Lennon, who is set to become the club’s permanent manager, seemingly didn’t trust the Brendan Rodgers-signed youngster, handing him one one-minute cameo against Kilmarnock.
Stuani signing could see his first-team prospects further diminished with Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths also competing for regular game time.

He could be in danger of becoming Celtic’s version of Rangers’ former loanee Umar Sadiq.
The Nigerian endured a torrid spell at Ibrox, and was allowed to head back to the Stadio Olimpico in December.
Of a similar age to Bayo, he failed to make a single start for the Gers.
Bayo is not on loan at Parkhead and will surely be given more time than Sadiq to make an impression, he’ll hope.
