Raphinha sends message to Spurs star Lucas Moura on Instagram

Raphinha was amongst those to send a message to Lucas Moura on Instagram after his landmark appearance for Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday – and the forward responded with praise for the Leeds United star.

Lucas made his 150th appearance for Spurs as they beat Aston Villa 2-0. The Brazilian was outstanding, producing a sumptuous assist for the opening goal at Villa Park.

It was a moment worthy of the occasion from the 28-year-old, who has arguably been Spurs’ best player in recent weeks.

And following the win, he took to social media to express his delight at reaching 150 games for the club.

There were plenty of messages of congratulations from teammates. But there was also a reply from his countryman, who is currently shining at Elland Road…

Raphinha’s message translates as: ‘Congratulations on the 150 crazy games, you’re a monster’.

Meanwhile, Lucas’s response reads as: ‘thanks bro, we’re together. Stay in the footsteps there that you are doing too well!’

As things stand, it appears that both players have plenty of Premier League appearances in them. In fact, Leeds fans will be desperate to see Raphinha get close to emulating Lucas’s achievement.

As Lucas suggests, he has made an outstanding start to life at Elland Road. The 24-year-old actually has six goals and five assists in the top flight already.

And perhaps it is fair to say, given that the Premier League now gives way to the international break, that it may not be too long before the pair are lining up together for their country based on their current form.
