A number of Leeds United fans have waxed lyrical about Crysencio Summerville’s latest Under-23s display.

The 20-year-old has been making waves at Thorp Arch and Elland Road since his 2020 arrival.

Summerville has already made seven senior appearances for Leeds, including five in the Premier League.

There has even been speculation claiming Rangers want to snap the winger up on loan in January.

The Scottish Daily Mail (1/1/22, pg 112) has claimed Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants his fellow Dutchman at Ibrox.

Given Leeds’ injury problems, it remains to be seen whether Marcelo Bielsa sanctions a temporary departure.

One thing’s for sure, however – Summerville is too good to still be playing Under-23s football.

The Netherlands U21 ace scored a 35-minute hat-trick to put Leeds 3-0 up against Sunderland in the Premier League Cup.

Summerville opened the scoring with a well-placed effort into the far corner of the net in the first 10 minutes.

He then slotted home following good work from Max Dean before sweeping a loose ball in from a Sam Greenwood chance.

Sadly, Summerville’s efforts couldn’t seal a victory as Leeds fell apart after the break.

Mark Jackson’s charges had to make do with a 3-3 draw at the York Community Stadium.

Nonetheless, plenty of Leeds fans loved Summerville’s display and lauded him on Twitter:
