Rangers’s Kane Ritchie-Hosler shares why he left Manchester City for Ibrox

Kane Ritchie-Hosler has suggested that he made the move to Rangers during the summer due to the stature of the club, and because of the Gers’s track record for bringing young players through.

The 17-year-old was on Manchester City’s books, but decided to sign a pre-contract deal with the Light Blues earlier in the year. He completed his move to Ibrox in the summer.

The winger has already made a big impression, scoring twice on his debut for Rangers’s youngsters. He definitely looks to be a name to look out for in the coming years.

And Ritchie-Hosler shared on Twitter that it was having that path to the first-team that helped tempt him to make the move to the Scottish Premiership. He also heaped praise on the size of the club.

It does look to be an exciting time to be at Rangers. The Gers have made plenty of progress during Steven Gerrard’s tenure, and there looks to be a number of exciting youngsters coming through.

In some ways, the more progress they make, the harder it could be for the youngsters to break through as expectations rise. However, it could also be argued that the further Rangers go in four competitions, the more chances there could be for the most talented prospects in the ranks.
