Rangers youngster Dapo Mebude has picked out Raheem Sterling when asked by a supporter in a Q&A on the club’s official website to name the player his playing style is similar to.
Mebude has long been considered one of the exciting prospects coming through at Ibrox. The 18-year-old made his first-team debut towards the end of last season.

He is yet to feature for Steven Gerrard’s side this term. But it would be no surprise to see the forward get a chance at some stage in the campaign, especially while Rangers find themselves in four competitions.
Mebude is frequently scoring or creating goals for the club’s youngsters. There is a lot of excitement about his future – and there may be even more excitement after one his answers in a club Q&A.

One fan asked Mebude which player he would compare his playing style to, and the starlet picked out £49 million Manchester City star, and Steven Gerrard’s former teammate, Sterling (fee reported by BBC Sport).
“When I play as a winger I try and be direct and score goals like Raheem Sterling. He is fast, direct and a similar build to me so I would say him,” he told the club’s official website.
Of course, Mebude is not suggesting that he is going to be on Sterling’s level. But players like Sterling certainly have no problem getting fans off their seats.
If Mebude can show glimpses of the same attributes when he breaks into the first-team on a more regular basis, he will immediately have the supporters’ backing.
