Following a report claiming Glasgow Rangers are eyeing Bongani Zungu, a number of fans have taken to Twitter hoping he’ll move to Ibrox and work under Steven Gerrard.
According to France Football, Rangers have recently made enquiries about the Amiens and South Africa midfielder’s quality from various sources.
The report claims that Strasbourg also like Zungu’s profile, with Amiens – who’ll be in Ligue 2 next term – seeking between €2m (£1.8m) to €3m (£2.8m) to part company with their player.

Zungu admitted last month that he’s ready for a new challenge, telling Get French Football News: “Personally I would like to move on with my career, and hopefully it happens.”
The 27-year-old, whose contract at newly-relegated Amiens runs out next summer, has been capped 24 times by South Africa.
He has also played for Mamelodi Sundowns, winning two South African titles and one South African Cup, as well as Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes.
According to Glasgow Live, Zungu has been described as a defensively-minded midfielder with quick feet and composure in tight areas, along with an impressive ability to hit accurate, long passes.
Soccer Laduma, meanwhile, notes how his playing style has been compared to that of Yaya Toure and Paul Pogba.
Here is how some fans on social media have reacted to the speculation:
