Rangers have had a decent first year under the guidance of Steven Gerrard.

The Light Blues will not be claiming any silverware, but progress has undoubtedly been made and expectations will be huge next season.

A number of players have had good seasons at Ibrox; Alfredo Morelos, Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent and James Tavernier to name a few.

One man who, it’s fair to say, has disappointed in 2018/19 is Eros Grezda.

The Albania international was the 14th player signed by Gerrard from Croatian outfit Osijek for £2 million (The Daily Record).

He arrived to high expectations after impressing against Rangers in Europa League qualifying.

Unfortunately though for the youngster, it’s been a frustrating debut campaign.

So far, Grezda has made just 17 appearances for the club and has seemingly struggled to convince Steven Gerrard he can be a regular in the side.

He was tipped to add a real goalscoring threat for Rangers but Grezda has bagged just two so far.

The form of Kent has undoubtedly limited his playing opportunities, but there’s a chance Rangers may struggle to afford to sign the winger permanently.

That would potentially open the door for Grezda to prove his worth, because so far he has been highly disappointing, if not slightly hindered by injuries.
