Van Bronckhorst has taken over from Steven Gerrard in what feels like a seamless transition. The Dutchman is showing a similar passion to that of Gerrard, and the Rangers fans – and players – seem to have taken to him.

One of the players who is thriving under ‘GVB’ is former Charlton midfielder, Joe Aribo. The classy operator was once again in fine form today, and following the game, the Rangers manager had some high praise for his man.

“He is very dynamic. We talk a lot with him on when be available in build-up and attacking space. He’s getting better and better,” Van Bronckhorst told BBC Sport.

Aribo has five goals and four assists in all competitions this season.

There is no doubting Joe Aribo has serious quality. He seems to be improving by the week, and is reaping the rewards of working under now two quality young managers.

The talent has always been there with Aribo. As with all the best players, it comes down to consistency. And for the moment, Aribo is starting to show that.

Rangers are well place now to keep their title. Of course, Celtic will push hard. But on paper, it looks like being the Gers’ title to lose.
