Ex-Rangers striker Umar Sadiq has blasted the club and their boss Steven Gerrard, in an interview with The Sunday Post.

The 22-year-old spent the first six months of 2018/19 on loan at Ibrox but failed to settle at the club.

The Nigerian misfit failed to start a league game for the Gers, featuring just four times in total for the club.

Sadiq has now lifted the lid on his time at Ibrox.

According to the Sunday Post, Sadiq was fined £20,000 for liking an Instagram post and the club still owes him a month’s wages.

He has also blasted Gerrard for not telling him face-to-face that his loan spell was being terminated and cited Kyle Lafferty’s arrival as the pivotal moment that turned his loan into a nightmare.

Sadiq is currently on loan in Serie B with Perugia where he has scored twice in eight appearances.
