Rangers youngster Ciaran Dickson could be offered the chance to move to the Premier League in the transfer window as he heads through the Ibrox exit, according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (27/6; page 61).
Dickson’s departure probably surprised many Gers fans. It was only in January that the club were confirming that he had signed a new two-year deal with the Scottish Premiership giants.

However, it was announced earlier this month that he was being released.
And it would appear that the reason for his exit has now become apparent, with a potential admirer seemingly waiting in the wings.
According to The Sun on Sunday (27/6; page 61), Dickson apparently fell out with some amongst the Gers hierarchy.

It is not made clear who Dickson fell out with, or why exactly it happened.
But according to the report, Burnley are now keen to bring him to Turf Moor.
It is suggested that he could join the Clarets and then be loaned out next season.
Will Rangers rue Dickson exit as Premier League transfer is mooted?
Dickson made his first-team debut for Steven Gerrard’s side last season. And he was also named on the bench for a number of Europa League games.
So it did appear that the 19-year-old was highly-rated.
And obviously, the situation surrounding his new contract suggests that plans changed for him late on last term.
So some at Ibrox must surely be wondering if they will be made to rue losing Dickson if he nows join a Premier League club.
Burnley have signed a number of impressive young players from rival clubs in recent years. Of course, the poster boy for that strategy is surely Dwight McNeil, who was previously at Manchester United.
It would be asking a great deal to expect Dickson to emulate McNeil. But it does highlight that the pathway is definitely there for those who head to Turf Moor.
