Rangers have clearly wanted to get rid of Albanian international Eros Grezda throughout the summer.
The first signs of trouble came last season. Grezda was one of three players Steven Gerrard was left livid with last April after a poor display against Liverpool’s youngsters in a training ground friendly.
Grezda was clearly up for grabs, as Rangers brought in a steady stream of alternatives to Ibrox. A move to France, seemingly Stade Brestois, was on the cards. However, as reported by Football Scotland, the deal hit a ‘hitch’ and Grezda remained.
Last week, following a spitting incident for the Rangers Colts against Ballymena, Gerrard was reported by the Scottish Sun as telling Grezda he will never play for Rangers again at any level.

But the transfer window is shut in the United Kingdom and most of Europe and it would appear Rangers do not want to pay up the rest of his contract in Glasgow, which runs until 2022.
But there are still a few options available to Rangers if they want to push Grezda out of the exit door.
The transfer window in Qatar is perhaps Rangers’ best bet. The teams in the Qatar Stars League still have until the 30th September to sign new players. Unfortunately, all 12 teams in the league have currently filled their foreign player quota. However, champions Al-Sadd and two other teams, Al-Rayyan and Al-Duhail, could register their Algerian, Moroccan, Tunisian or Iraqi players as their designated Union of Arab Football Associations player, leaving a space potentially free at this trio of clubs.

Australia is another option. The A-League’s window remains open until October 15th. Fellow Albanian international, who has since begun representing Kosovo, Besart Berisha is the league’s all-time record goalscorer with 116 goals, which could inspire a deal for Grezda.
The United Arab Emirates window remains open until October 1st. Croatians Krunoslav Jurcic and Ivan Leko currently manage Baniyas and Al Ain respectively. Both could be familiar with Grezda’s success with Osijek before his Rangers switch. However, all clubs currently have fulfilled their foreign player quotas.
These three nations, seem the most likely option Rangers have to get Grezda out of Ibrox. Other then that, Grezda is struggling. Bahrain and Egypt are left-field options but it seems Rangers have a real task on their hands trying to find Grezda a new club.
