Glasgow Rangers have been tipped by Charlie Adam to potentially bring Derek McInnes to Ibrox until the end of the season.
The Gers have been left reeling by Steven Gerrard leaving Ibrox to take the reins at English top-flight outfit Aston Villa.
Rangers are now looking for Gerrard’s replacement, and there are a few names that have been doing the rounds in the press.

According to The Guardian, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Frank Lampard are among those under consideration by the reigning Scottish Premiership champions.
Adam, speaking on PLZ Soccer, believes Rangers director Ross Wilson may not have expected Gerrard to leave mid-season.
As a result, Wilson could favour a short-term fix and opt for McInnes, who is currently a free agent and has played for Rangers before.
“I think it will be a short-term fix at the moment,” said Adam.
“I just think they’ll have to get someone now to consolidate from now until the end of the season and then see where they go from that.
“It’ll be a surprise for them, I don’t think they’ll have had anybody lined up or any names floating around.

“The way Ross works he’s probably has got four or five on a list that he’s thought ‘If this happens we need to be prepared for it’.
“But they’ve probably thought that it wouldn’t happen and they’ll be maybe caught a little bit short.
“I think it could be maybe a short-term fix. I think Derek could come in and be the stop-gap until the end of the season.”
McInnes, 50, managed Aberdeen between 2013 and 2021, winning the Scottish League Cup in 2013-14.
Former Dundee United boss Micky Mellon said in 2020: “He’s a very, very good manager and we’re really looking forward to the challenge of going and competing against them.”
