Rangers teenager posts on Instagram after penning new three-year deal
Rangers teen Ross McCausland has underlined his delight on Instagram after putting pen to paper on a new contract at Ibrox – until 2024.
McCausland, 18, is a crucial part of the Rangers B-team, featuring in the Challenge Cup and plenty of second-string fixtures in recent months.
His form has not gone unnoticed and not just by Rangers. At international level, the teenager has six caps for Northern Ireland’s Under-17’s.
Another winger to come through the Rangers ranks in recent years, McCausland has now done enough to earn a new contract until 2024.
The Rangers youngster has posted on Instagram following the decision to sign a new deal at Ibrox – labelling himself “delighted” with his contract.
McCausland on Instagram: What next for Rangers teen after deal?
As aforementioned, Rangers have produced a huge amount of talent that play out wide. In recent seasons, Glenn Middleton is the best example.
Others that broke into the senior side include the likes of Josh McPake, Serge Atakayi, Dapo Mebude and plenty more. Rangers have a knack.
But perhaps for the first time in the last couple of seasons, McCausland might have the best chance of breaking into the senior side.
Jordan Jones, Greg Stewart, Mebude and Jamie Murphy left permanently. McPake, Jake Hastie and Middleton are out on loan.
If a few injuries strike, surely McCausland has a chance of getting a go in the senior side. Perhaps in a Cup game? Time will tell.
