Rangers are reportedly keen on Motherwell’s in-demand attacker Jake Hastie.

According to the Scottish Sun, the Light Blues have joined the hunt for the 19-year-old that is currently mulling over a contract offer from Motherwell.

It is understood that the Gers are joined by Celtic, Middlesbrough and Hull City in keeping their eye on him.

The report details that clubs are poised to sweep if the player’s contract talks don’t progress.

Hastie is currently in great form in the Scottish Premiership, scoring four goals in his last four games.

The teenage left-winger has a real eye for goal and is a great dribbler that is already showing his qualities in the Scottish top flight.

Steven Gerrard has enjoyed some real success in the Rangers transfer market during his time at Ibrox, with the likes of Connor Goldson, Ryan Kent (loan) and Borna Barisic all coming good for him.

Hastie is a promising young talent that has the potential to be another success story and he looks good enough to make the step up in the near future.

Rangers will need to improve their squad next year to keep challenging and need to find more attacking firepower to help ease the burden on centre-forward Alfredo Morelos.
