Rangers’ under-18s but in a fine display on Friday night to blow away Motherwell. The Young Gers secured a thumping 7-0 win and there was no doubt who the star of the show was. Young striker Chris McKee caught the eye with a stunning four-goal salvo.
The 17-year-old centre-forward has benefitted from the progression of Nathan Young-Coombes into the under-23s on a regular basis by impressing with the under-18s this season.

So who is the player Rangers fans are now raving about after his goalscoring antics?
Rangers snapped up the player last summer from Linfield. The Northern Irishman had impressed on trial and decided to head to Ibrox ahead of interest from Nottingham Forest and Stevenage, according to Belfast Live.
Speaking to the same publication last year, McKee made it clear that heading to Rangers was always his first option.
“My heart was always set on Rangers.
“I was over the moon when they came in for me. It was like a dream come true, but I realise I have to put in a lot of hard work if I want to succeed here.”
It might be too soon for McKee to start troubling Steven Gerrard’s first-team at Ibrox. However, this sort of form will surely have him troubling Graeme Murty’s under-23 side as the season goes on.
The 17-year-old is contracted at Rangers until the summer of 2021 and will be hoping to become a first-team star in Glasgow in the future. If he does, many will point to this performance as where it all started to click.
