Rangers’ encounters with Aberdeen this season have all been feisty affairs and yesterday’s Scottish Cup meeting at Pittodrie was unsurprisingly no different.
Sam Cosgrove’s penalty in the 11th minute put the hosts in front but Joe Worrall’s first goal in the blue of Rangers earned Steven Gerrard’s side a replay.
That return encounter will take place at Ibrox on 12 March and Gerrard will want to see a performance with more quality and intent from his side on that occasion.
Yesterday’s game was scrappy but not enough of Rangers’ players did enough to help their side win the game – but one notable exception was Glen Kamara.

He was again impressive at the heart of that Rangers midfield, injecting energy into a performance that was a bit flat despite the Scottish Cup being the club’s most realistic chance of silverware this season.
Gerrard went the extra mile to get Kamara in the door during the January window rather than wait until the end of the season to get him when his Dundee contract ran out and that is proving to be a very shrewd move indeed.
The supporters loved his performance at Pittodrie yesterday and we’ve put together some of the best reaction…
