Rangers supporters react to Steven Gerrard’s comment ahead of Celtic contest

Rangers will renew their fierce rivalry with Celtic on Sunday as Steven Gerrard looks to oversee a second successive victory over the Hoops.

A Ryan Jack goal ensured victory for Rangers back in December and the boss will hope for more of the same.

Gerrard came up against Brendan Rodgers that day but will compete against Neil Lennon at Celtic Park this weekend.

The Gers boss was in good spirits ahead of Sunday during his press conference.

He spoke at length about the need for Rangers to stand up and be counted amid a ferocious atmosphere.

Gerrard knows that nothing other than a top performance will be enough against the champions-elect.

He is clearly up for the challenge and he will hope that his players are equally focused on the task in hand.
