Rangers are interested in signing young Romanian starlet Stefan Baiaram, according to the Daily Record (Live Blog, 13/08, 13:51).
The 16-year-old was scouted by the Gers during a Europa League qualifying match between his current club Craiova and Greek giants AEK Athens.
Although his team lost 2-0 on the night, Baiaram was thought to be the star attraction.
The boy wonder has been nicknamed the Neymar of the Balkans given his potential and was scouted by Manchester City and Norwich on the same night that Rangers were in attendance.

Baiaram is a Romania under-17 international and typically plays on the left-wing.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has shown no qualms with playing younger players in his squad during his time at Ibrox.
If the Gers do press ahead with a move, it seems almost certain that he would link-up with Graeme Murty’s development squad first.
TBR Verdict – Rangers the ideal club to develop Baiaram?
Rangers have a quality youth academy and the path to the first-team is certainly clear at Ibrox.
Gerrard has shown no previous concerns with playing younger players in his senior team and that should appeal to Baiaram.

The lure of the Premier League could well prove strong if Norwich or Manchester City come calling but Rangers might be a handy stepping stone.
At 16 he isn’t going to be ready for the first-team just yet but he could be a solid addition to Murty’s ranks beforehand.
