Rangers are reportedly ‘interested’ in a deal to sign Amiens frontman Moussa Konate. Courrier Picard is reporting that Rangers are keen on making a move for the Senegalese frontman before the Scottish transfer window closes next week.
L’Equipe have also reported on the news. They suggest that Rangers are ready to offer a bid in the region of €10 million (£9 million) for the player.
TBR’s View
Rangers fans may be excited to hear about this deal but will also be taking the report with a generous helping of salt.

Mainly, due to the price-tag being bandied around. Rangers simply cannot afford to splash out £9 million on one player.
In fact, if they could, Rangers probably would have signed Ryan Kent from Liverpool by now. The Ibrox side are only able to do a loan deal for their former loanee, but Steven Gerrard’s former club only want a permanent sale.
Priced at £7 million, according to Sky Sports, if Rangers can’t afford to sign Kent there is no doubt a deal for Konate is out of reach financially.
Therefore, the only way this deal happens if is Rangers lose star striker Alfredo Morelos before the transfer window closes.
If that happens then Konate, who scored seven goals in Ligue 1 last season would be a shrewd addition for Rangers.
However, at present, it would seem unlikely that Rangers are set to make a move for the Senegalese international.
