Over the course of this season, Rangers have been accused of being a ‘one-man team’. Alfredo Morelos is the clear star in the Rangers side but he is an unreliable key man.
With a staggering five red cards to his name this season, it is dangerous for Rangers to rely on Morelos.
Despite his tally of 29 goals for the campaign, Morelos’ ill-discipline is a serious problem. He is unreliable and Rangers need to perform without him.
Moreover, the Colombian striker is in-demand. Rangers might be tempted to cash in on Morelos this summer if he continues to act in a hot-headed manner.
Borussia Dortmund and Leicester City are two clubs linked with the 22-year-old (Sky Sports News) and he could be axed for the right price.
But Rangers needed to shrug off this ‘one-man team’ tag and they may finally have achieved that in midweek.

On Wednesday night, a Rangers team led by Jermain Defoe brushed Hearts aside with a dominant 3-0 victory.
Everyone performed well and showed that success is possible without Morelos. And this is not the only time Rangers have proven this.
After Morelos was sent off in the Old Firm derby, Rangers held their own for the whole game and even got back level at 1-1 with a man down.
It seems Steven Gerrard’s men are finding ways of playing well without their talisman, which could be vital next season if he departs.
