Rangers should be on red alert, as £11m Tottenham player eyes January loan

Rangers desperately need to bring a centre-back to Ibrox in January, and a ‘frustrated’ Tottenham player might just hand them the ideal solution.

Filip Helander is finally returning from a long-term injury, while Leon Balogun is still on the sidelines through injury. Jack Simpson is struggling.

Even Connor Goldson’s form has been questionable, once again at fault for Livingston’s only goal during Sunday’s 3-1 win at the Tony Macaroni.

Calvin Bassey is filling in, but he is a left-back by trade. Niko Katic remains out on loan and he could be an option to bring back in the January window.

But if Rangers were to look for a new signing under Gio van Bronckhorst, then perhaps, Tottenham might have just given them a helping hand.

Is PSGs Business Model Destined To Fail?

Football London report 24-year-old Wales defender Joe Rodon is ‘frustrated’. It is claimed the £11m ace (Goal) is open to a loan move in January.

Could Rangers tempt Rodon and Tottenham into January loan move?

It is certainly an ambitious one. The chances are that Tottenham would like Rodon to get Premier League experience at a club where he will start.

The likes of Norwich, Brighton, Brentford, Burnley, that kind of level. But what Rangers offer is European competition, and a similar style to Spurs.

Rangers dominate the ball, while lowly Premier League sides will not. The Gers are also in the last 32 of the Europa League.

While a Premier League club offers domestic know how, Rangers might be in more of a similar position to Spurs. It could just tempt Rodon in January.
