According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are interested in signing Ben Woodburn on loan from Liverpool.

Steven Gerrard will hope to use his Liverpool links to land the 19-year-old on loan this month.

Rangers previously wanted Woodburn last summer but he went on loan to Sheffield United instead.

The Wales international has since been recalled due to a lack of game time, although Rangers face competition from five Championship clubs, including Blackburn Rovers and West Brom.

Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty is attracting attention from the Championship, according to the print edition of The Sun via HITC Sport.

Rotherham United want to take the 22-year-old on loan after being impressed with his performances this season.

Docherty was sent on loan to League One side Shrewsbury Town last summer and has been a standout performer in midfield.

The Scotland under-21 international has scored seven goals in 29 games and he could now be set for a test at a higher level.

Rangers manager Gerrard has challenged winger Eros Grezda to prove he is good enough to play for the club, The Scottish Sun reports.

The Albania international moved to Scotland last summer in a reported £2m switch (Scottish Sun).

But after managing just two goals in 17 games (both of which came against Motherwell), Rangers fans have been questioning the 23-year-old’s ability.

Gerrard said: “Grezda has got it all to prove. He needs to push himself to prove to everyone he’s capable of being a Rangers player.”
