Akhmat Grozny defender Milan Mohammadi could move to Newcastle United, according to The Daily Mail.

Newcastle have a major problem at left-back and could swoop for the Iran international, who is perhaps best known for his failed front-flip thrown-in attempt during the World Cup.

The 25-year-old was linked with Celtic and Rangers back in July [The Scottish Sun] but a Newcastle switch looks more likely.

According to journalist Bill Young, Rangers have made three fringe players available for loan this month.

Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham will be granted a temporary exit after losing his place to Allan McGregor this season.

Left-back Lee Wallace and young midfielder Jordan Rossiter will also head out on loan if Rangers find potential suitors.

Alfredo Morelos update

Rangers would sell Alfredo Morelos at the right price, according to The Times. But Nice’s £8m bid falls well below Rangers’ valuation.

The 22-year-old has scored 20 goals in 34 games this season, making him hot property.

Nice are chasing the Colombia international as a replacement for Mario Balotelli, who has joined Marseille, but £8m will not land the Rangers star.
