Alfredo Morelos signs new deal

Alfredo Morelos has signed a new long-term contract to keep him at Rangers until summer 2023, the club’s official website have announced.

The 22-year-old has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks but he has committed his future to Rangers.

After signing, El Bufalo said: “I have come to realise just how special Rangers is and what it means to so many people around the world. Also, I feel a strong connection with the fans and they have made me feel special.”

Shortly before Morelos penned a new contract, a report suggested that three new clubs were chasing the prolific Rangers striker.

Eintracht Frankfurt, Nice and Cardiff City are the latest teams to be linked with the Colombia international, as per The Daily Express.

After scoring 28 goals this season, it is no surprise to see clubs circling around Morelos.

Rangers are set to sign Motherwell youngster Jake Hastie on a pre-contract agreement, according to The Scottish Sun.

The 19-year-old winger has scored five goals in eight matches for Motherwell since returning from his loan at Alloa Athletic in January.

But his contract expires this summer and Rangers look set to sign the Scotland under-21 starlet on a four-year deal.
