Rangers look set to unveil Steven Davis as their first signing of the January transfer window.

According to The Sun, Davis has agreed an 18-month contract to return to Ibrox.

The 34-year-old has agreed a major pay-cut, where he will earn £12k-per-week.

The Northern Ireland international will leave Southampton on a free transfer.

Jamie Murphy targeting injury comeback

Jamie Murphy could be back on the pitch quicker than anticipated.

The 29-year-old has been missing since August with an ACL injury, which looked like the end of his season.

But he told Rangers TV that he has been targeting a specific date to make his return.

Murphy said: “I’ve got a date in my head. The surgeons told me a date and he pretty much said the season, but we will see how it goes.

Carlos Pena wanted by Turkish trio

Rangers outcast Carlos Pena could be leaving in the January transfer window.

According to Turkish media outlet 24 Saat Futbol, the Mexico international is wanted by three clubs in Turkey.

Alanyaspor, BB Erzurumspor and Rizespor are all keen on the 28-year-old midfielder.

Pena was on loan with Mexican side Necaxa but is back at Rangers now.
