Leicester and Borussia Dortmund in Alfredo Morelos hunt

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is a summer target for ex-Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, according to Sky Sports News.

The 22-year-old has scored 29 goals this season and is also being tracked by German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund, who are top of the Bundesliga.

Rangers Managing Director Stewart Robertson explained in a Q & A (via The Scottish Sun) that he rates the Colombia international’s value as highly as former Celtic star Moussa Dembele (£20m).

Ryan Jack suffers injury

Ryan Jack could face a spell on the sidelines after he was given a protective boot to wear, according to The Evening Times.

 

The 27-year-old midfielder is waiting to learn the extent of the injury he suffered over the weekend and he underwent an assessment yesterday.

Jack has been a key part of Steven Gerrard’s plans this season and Gers fans will be hoping this is not too serious.

Alexander Kacaniklic held January talks with Rangers

Swedish media outlet Fotboll Direkt report that Alexander Kacaniklic held talks with Rangers in January over a possible switch to Ibrox.

The former Liverpool and Fulham winger considered a move to Rangers after terminating his contract with French club Nantes.

But the 27-year-old instead returned to Sweden, where he joined Hammarby in February 2019.
