Rangers released their team photo for the 2019-20 season yesterday on the club’s official Twitter account. Despite their season already being 16 games deep due to their Europa League participation, this was taken after the transfer window shut to give an accurate depiction of the Rangers team this season.
Steven Gerrard is joined by the likes of captain James Tavernier and new signing Ryan Kent in the photo which Rangers fans are hoping will be of a title-winning squad this term.
However, there was one Rangers player not present which perhaps signifies his current standing at Ibrox. The player in question is Eros Grezda.

The Albanian was told to find a new team this summer but Rangers have failed to find a suitable buyer for the player. In the meanwhile, the Albanian international has been playing with Graeme Murty’s youngsters to stay fit and keep himself in the shop window.
However, his time at Ibrox is now coming to an end. It comes after he allegedly spat at a Ballymena player in a recent Challenge Cup game for the Rangers Colts side. As reported by the Daily Record, Grezda has been informed he will never play for Rangers again whilst Gerrard is manager.
So there is no wonder that Rangers decided it was best not to have him present in the squad photo. Hopefully, the club can figure out a way to relieve themselves of Grezda in the not so distant future.
