Nikola Katic has agreed a one-year contract extension at Rangers to increase his deal until the summer of 2023 after starring during the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign – and Eros Grezda has reacted on Instagram.
Katic, 23, has been excellent for Rangers, as Steven Gerrard continues to pick between Katic, Filip Helander and George Edmundson to partner first-choice centre-back Connor Goldson.
The one-time Croatia international has been picked for Rangers’ biggest games this season alongside Goldson, despite the £3.5million signing of Sweden international Helander from Bologna.
Katic has faced the likes of Old Firm rivals Celtic in the 2-0 defeat at Ibrox, as well as playing in six of the eight Europa League qualifying matches. Rangers confirmed the new deal on Twitter, which sees Katic remain for at least four years.

Katic is likely to start at the back on Sunday afternoon, when Rangers travel to the capital to take on Hearts at Tynecastle. Rangers currently sit at the top of the tree, after Celtic suffered defeat to Livingston before the international break.
Posting on Instagram, Albania international Grezda applauded Katic after he signed a new deal on Instagram. Grezda himself, though, is unlikely to be a Rangers player for much longer – managing just 17 games since his £2million move (BBC).
