Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara will be amongst those particularly interested in UEFA’s announcement on Tuesday that Euro 2020 will be postponed by a year as football continues to take a hiatus.
Kamara was part of the Finland side that booked a historic ticket to the tournament during qualifying. And the finals looked set to be the perfect way for the Gers man to round off a remarkable 18 months.

The 24-year-old went into the 2019 January transfer window at Dundee. However, Rangers swiftly announced that he had signed a pre-contract deal ahead of the summer. And by the end of the month, they agreed a move to bring him in immediately.
The Daily Mail reported that he cost the Light Blues just £50,000. That fee was quickly made to look like an absolute bargain as Kamara was outstanding during the second-half of the season.
And while his form has dipped at times this term, the Ibrox faithful would be forgiven for wanting to regularly remind themselves in disbelief that he cost a five-figure fee.

Unsurprisingly, his form has attracted attention. The Daily Mail reported back in January that former club Arsenal had watched Kamara six times, while four other Premier League sides wanted the £8 million-rated man.
They obviously saw off any interest in January. But with this summer’s tournament set to provide Kamara with an amazing platform, Rangers’s task may have become much tougher.
Had he impressed at Euro 2020, the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace may well have come calling with substantial bids.
Some Rangers fans may argue that that may have been the time to sell. His value may have sky-rocketed. And as mentioned previously, he has not always managed to recapture the magic from his first few months at Ibrox.
But replacing Kamara would be an incredibly tough task for Steven Gerrard.
Euro 2020 being pushed back a year surely boosts Rangers’s hopes of holding onto Kamara this year.
And having him for another season may increase the likelihood of Kamara rediscovering his very best form on a consistent basis before he then makes that frightening impact on the international stage.
That may then be the right time for Rangers to let him go having secured a profit that seems even more scarcely-believable than if he left this year.
