Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is subject to interest from French giants Marseille, according to reports in France, as quoted by the Daily Record.
The 23-year-0ld has netted a stunning 29 goals for the Light Blues this season. However, his season has been blighted somewhat by no fewer than five red cards.
The report suggests that Marseille were keen on the Colombian talisman last summer, with a £5 million bid made to Rangers. It is reasonable to suggest that given his goalscoring form of this season, it will now take a considerably higher bid to prise him away from Ibrox.

Jermain Defoe has been in fine form during Morelos’ current suspension and Morelos will face a fight for his shirt when he has served his ban.
TBR Verdict
Rangers are certainly going to have some thinking to do as a football club this summer. Given Morelos’ goalscoring ability they will certainly field some called regarding his availability.
The Gers have every right to demand a substantial fee for the Colombian striker. Celtic recouped £19.7 million for Moussa Dembele when he signed for Lyon in 2018 and there isn’t too much difference in quality or potential.

If Rangers do receive an offer close to £20 million for Morelos then surely they can’t turn it down. Marseille do have an element of financial clout; but whether they will be keen on paying such a sum remains open for discussion.
