The Rangers manager fallout has spilled over into Friday – with both Michael Beale, and Fashion Sakala posting on Instagram.
Steven Gerrard and his coaching staff have left the club to join Aston Villa from Rangers. The timing is strange, with Rangers top of the Premiership.
Gerrard, 41, has penned a contract at Aston Villa until the summer of 2025. A deal was done quickly, with Christian Purslow renowned for such.
Joining Gerrard at Villa will be the rest of his coaching staff – including assistant Gary McAllister and first-team coach Beale.
The latter posted on Instagram, posting an emotional message to Rangers fans on Instagram. He spoke about the effect Rangers has had on his family.

Where do Rangers turn now? Losing their manager is a huge blow, with Gerrard becoming an icon in Glasgow after taking the Gers to 55.
Not only was it a crucial league win for Rangers, but it also stopped Celtic’s pursuit of 10 in a row. Gerrard and his team did it, without defeat.
This season has not been as good, but he still leaves Rangers top of the table, in a League Cup semi-final and in with a shout of Europa League in 2022.
Plenty of names have been linked. But ultimately, it looks as if Gio van Bronckhorst is the favourite to replace Gerrard – potentially next week.
Striker Sakala, who was brought to the club on a free transfer by Gerrard – posted another message on Instagram to the departing Rangers boss.
