Rangers centre-forward Alfredo Morelos is reportedly on the radar of French club Nice.
According to the Daily Record, the Ligue 1 club are lining up an £8million bid for the Ibrox dazzler this January.
The Gers are confident they can keep hold of their 22-year-old talisman, but Nice may need a replacement for Mario Balotelli this month.
The report details that the Scottish giants are in no rush to sell their striker, who is a £10million-rated player.
But one key mistake that Rangers could make is their low valuation of Morelos and Nice’s imminent offer will fall just £2million short of the mark.
Rangers should not let their prized assets leave on the cheap, especially when they can still consider themselves in the hunt for the league title this season and no longer have the extra European games unlike rivals Celtic.
Morelos has been in sensational form this campaign, scoring 20 goals and supplying 10 assists in 34 games across all competitions.
Steven Gerrard’s side have every right to put a mammoth price tag on his head, as his goal return is phenomenal and he is still under contract at Ibrox until 2022.
A £10million valuation will surely attract widespread suitors for Rangers’ goal machine and they need to clearly indicate his long-term future remains in Scotland.
