Rangers picked up an important victory at Ibrox at the weekend, with Steven Gerrard’s side winning 1-0 against Livingston. But it was not enough for any of the Gers’ squad to make the SPFL Team of the Week.
Scott Arfield bagged the winning goal. There were also impressive performances from the likes of Andy Halliday and Florian Kamberi at Ibrox.

But while none of those who featured at Ibrox on Sunday made the Team of the Week, there was one player on Rangers’s books who did make the lineup.
Greg Docherty left Rangers on loan during the January transfer window, joining Hibernian as part of the deal that saw Kamberi join the Gers.

And it seems fair to say that Docherty has enjoyed a brilliant start to life at Easter Road.
He has scored two goals in his first four appearances. And his latest strike was an absolute stunner as Jack Ross’s side went on to beat Kilmarnock 2-1 at Rugby Park.
The 23-year-old curled a brilliant effort into the top corner from the corner of the box to break the deadlock.
And his display proved to be enough to see Docherty make the Team of the Week…
TBR View – Another win for Docherty
In truth, it seems unlikely that Gerrard will pay much attention to who is named in the SPFL Team of the Week.
But Docherty’s form may perhaps leave the Rangers boss with some food for thought.
Admittedly, it is still difficult to see where Docherty gets into the Gers side given the depth they boast in midfield.
But Docherty has, so far, done all he can during his two loan spells to prove a point to the Rangers boss.
