'Agreement reached': Romano says Rangers set to sign 'one of the most exciting young prospects' on loan
Rangers are set to secure a loan move for Manchester United teenager Amad Diallo, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
Rangers have required a right-sided attacker for several transfer windows now and it appears Diallo may be the answer.
The recent news that Ianis Hagi will miss the remainder of the season has consequently put Rangers fans in a slight panic.
Watford Hiring Roy Hodgson Is A Joke.
Rangers struggled last night with key trio Joe Aribo, Alfredo Morelos, and Ryan Kent all missing.
It was evident that more attacking resources are required.
Who is Amad Diallo?
Diallo signed for Manchester United from Italian side Atalanta in January of 2021, having agreed a deal the previous summer.
The teen signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the club for a reported fee of £37 million.
The move had been delayed due to work-permit issues and the player requiring a medical.
Furthermore, the reported fee was questioned as the player had failed to make a start for Atalanta, playing half a dozen games.
When signing the teen, then Man Utd manager said “As a club, we have followed Amad for a number of years
Having watched him myself, I believe he is one of the most exciting young prospects in the game.”
Former Atalanta captain Pau Torres also heaped praise on the Ivorian saying
“He plays like Messi. There are defenders in the first team that sometimes cannot stop him. To stop him in training, we have to kick him!”
The teenager became the youngest player to score on his Serie A debut.
The attacker scored in a 7-1 defeat of Udinese at the age of 17 years and 109 days old.
There were rumours of a move to Wayne Rooney’s Derby County.
However, the move failed to materialise and Rangers have swooped in.
Nonetheless, Rangers fans will be hoping the player can produce the kind of performances that reflect his talent and hefty fee and help secure the league title.
